In this first episode, the goal is to convince you about what you need to purpose your purpose. I talk about the benefits to living a life driven by purpose.
Sometimes it is good to understand what something is not; and that is the focus of this episode. I deal with some of the misinformation about purpose.
The Relationship Between Authenticity and Purpose
Authenticity is something we hear a great deal about today. There is even a leadership style called “Authentic Leader.” Authenticity is who you really are, and your purpose is also who you really are. They are both your identical. This means the more authentic you are, the more purposeful you will be. I share three concepts that help you develop authenticity.
Can My Job Also Be My Purpose?
You can have a great job or career, and still not know your purpose. In this podcast, I share the distinction between your job and your purpose. I use my own career experience to explain the distinction between the two. I also share the hidden gold in your job that ties that job to your purpose.
Have you ever wondered what the process is like to pursue and discover your purpose? If so, you will probably enjoy this podcast where I talk openly about what that process looks like. Your purpose is a composite of various components or parts that you must first identify, and then you put the parts together somewhat like a puzzle. Its a discovery process as opposed to a finding process.
Every purpose is not necessarily equal to Your purpose. The rewards are different. Your purpose rewards you with self-love and a self-concept that empowers you to serve others. The intrinsic value associated with your purpose, is invaluable!
Every vision has a purpose, but every purpose does not have a vision. If you have a purpose and no vision, nothing happens. This is why so many people fail to achieve their dreams. A vision requires detail, which can only come through pursuit. Discovering Purpose Through Divine Design is created to help you discover your details so you can move forward with your vision.
Your purpose can be called Ground Zero because it is where everything else begins. It is not, however, everything you need for a successful purpose-driven life. You also need to add place and time to the mix. I have a saying that goes like this: “Being in the right place at the wrong time, is the wrong place.” Not only do we need to know our purpose, but we need to know where that purpose is to be employed, and also at the right time.
Pursuing a life driven by purpose will require creativity. This means that we must consider creativity as being a normal and reasonable part of the decision-making process, and not something we keep on a shelf for special occasions. A purpose-driven life is not the norm, and will require the ability to think outside the box of normality. It is itself innovative, and therefore a lifestyle that will require the ability to use one’s imagination, persistence, and knowledge in novel ways.
